Buffer Overflow

Postby logjam32 » Sat Jul 30, 2011 1:02 pm

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me, I have recently started getting a Mcafee message saying it has blocked a buffer overflow. When I press more details it just says C:\Program Files\windowsupdates\svchost.exe is there a program or anything I can do to get rid of this, I have scanned using Mcafee and Superantispyware but it keeps coming up. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello, welcome to the Myantispyware forum.

Download RSIT by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
* Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
* Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
* Once it has finished, two logs will open. If it does not automatically open, then these logs can be found at %systemdrive%\rsit folder (typically C:\rsit)

Post back with both RSIT logs. Post each log in separate post.
