Hi i was reading the articles about the different malware infections when i googled it, mines seems to be a fake windows security centre 2011, it pops up and stops me using everything, tries to get me purchase its product to continue, i used system restore to get here an post what i can in order to get some assistance, please bare with me if anything i put is incorrect or in short detail, im far from a computer expert, anyway it started with this pop-up blocking me from everything now my google searches are getting re-directed everywhere, when i try to run Malware removal, Spyware doctor, StopZilla my computer just freezes and i have to turn it off via the power button, i tried all the steps you have listed about renaming the save file of those programmes, trying to run from a user account, safe mode etc, to no avail, its really got me baffled on how to overcome it, i read in the comments where people were having the same difficulty as me to run the Hijack this programme then post it here trouble is i did that but the file didnt save automatically into notepad, and now when i try to run HiJack again i get "windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. This malware seems to have totally took over my computer and its looking like a re-install is needed which i really dont want to, im running Vista 7 on a Dell Inspiron 1525, if theres anything else you need to know let me know and ill reply as soon as i can,

Hello, welcome to the Myantispyware forum.

If you have previously downloaded ComboFix, please delete that version now.
Download Combofix from here. Close any open browsers. Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When the tool is finished, it will produce a log for you.If the log does not automatically open, then it can be found at %systemdrive%\combofix.txt (typically C:\combofix.txt).

If ComboFix will not run, please redownload it, but in Save dialog, rename combofix.exe to iexplore.exe, next save it. Run this file.

Post back with combofix log.
