Need help with Notepad.exe virus

Postby swarnadeep007 » Tue Dec 21, 2010 11:30 pm

For some days now, I am facing issues with my external HDD and my pendrives. I guess, my system is infected with Notepad.exe virus. when I connect my external drives and/or my Pen Drive, I see folders getting created with existing folder names and with an extension as .exe.

I've been told by my friends that this is because of the notepad.exe virus. Some of them asked me to try the Combofix application; I tried but the issue is still there.

I have scanned and successfully removed the folders with .exe extensions from both my external HDDs and my Pen Drives. But when I re-connect them, the folders come back. Please help.

Hello, welcome to the Myantispyware forum.

Some of them asked me to try the Combofix application; I tried but the issue is still there.

Please run Combofix once again.
Once finished, it will display a log. Post the log here.
