My Anti Spyware

Hi,
My sister's computer was hijacked. The web address it shows is http://www.guardpe. She can't get onto the internet because it keeps blocking her. I was wondering how she can go about removing this thing if she can't download any malware removal tools? Also, she has Norton and it doesn't show up when she runs the scan. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Nope, she's still having the same problem. This happened to me about a year ago, but I can't for the life of me remember how I fixed it, grrrrrrr. Hope we both find some help here

Hi. I'm having the same problem, and it seems several others are, too, from looking at recent threads.

I'm getting the guardpe.com page trying to sell me a product called "Antivirus Scan." Is that the same for you?

Hello, welcome to the Myantispyware forum.

Reboot your computer in Safe mode with networking.
Run Internet Explorer. Click Tools -> Internet Options. Select Connections Tab and click to Lan Settings button. Uncheck “Use a proxy server” box. Click OK and click OK again.
Download HijackThis from here and save it to your desktop.
Run HijackThis. Click "Main Menu", then click "Do a system scan only and save a log" button.
It will scan and the log should open in Notepad.
If it does not automatically open, then the log can be found at a folder where HijackThis is located. It called HijackThis.log
Copy and paste the contents of the HijackThis log into your reply.
Also you can attach the log using Upload attachment tab in the Post a reply dialog.
