To restore the startpage, new tab page and default search engine you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the Windows was installed on your PC.

In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” dialog box.
