How the scam works
The “PIONEER FLAME MINI TRIKE” scam is a classic example of a bait-and-switch scam. Scammers use eye-catching advertisements to lure unsuspecting consumers into clicking on their link, which takes them to a fake online store. Once on the store’s website, the consumer is presented with an offer to purchase the “PIONEER FLAME MINI TRIKE” for a low price of $29.99. The product images on the website appear to be the same as the “TGV MINI TRIKE,” which is a genuine product sold on the manufacturer’s official website for $4999.

The scammers rely on the fact that consumers are not familiar with the actual price of the product and are likely to make an impulsive purchase based on the low price advertised. In many cases, the fraudulent online stores are designed to look like legitimate websites, with fake customer reviews and seals of approval from trusted organizations.
Once a consumer makes a purchase, the scammers either send a fake or low-quality product, or they don’t send anything at all. In some cases, they might even use the personal and financial information provided during the transaction for identity theft or other fraudulent activities.
It’s important to note that the scam can take many forms, and scammers are always coming up with new tactics to deceive consumers. Therefore, it’s crucial to be cautious and verify the authenticity of any product and the legitimacy of any online store before making a purchase.

Thank you for offering these helpful tips because it is a constantly continuing problem. I noticed Google lists many of these scam ads. I noticed the flame trike scam and several ebike scams. For me it’s the ridiculous price that sends flags up like $30 for a $5,000 trike.
What I don’t understand is why isn’t there government watchdog groups setup to investigate these scammers? When reported does law enforcement go after these criminals and put them through court? I know many of these scams come out of foreign country’s and don’t know what type of cooperation if any investigators would get especially from communist controlled and third world countries? I think as a start we should put the burden on the media site hosting the ad. Have them check out the credibility of whoever is putting out the ad. I just think that there is more that can de done that isn’t.
