After 2 days of trying different strategies online to get rid of this incredibly annoying virus, Finally I get my computer into safe mode with networking and these instructions cleaned up my computer within 15-30 min tops.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Saved my computer!!!!
I tried to download Malwarebytes, the normal for me i’ve trusted it,and it works, however, it will NOT let me download it. I tried STOPzilla as well, and it came up saying it was being blocked…is there another way to download something that is going to get rid of it??
I’m not sure which virus attacked me, but this morning everytime I tried to do a google search I kept getting redirected to ad sites, which I did some googling on my phone and found out I had a virus. So I installed malwarebytes and it found a bunch of infected files and removed them. Seemed to work because I was then able to do a google search successfully, however now I am not able to access any of my online accounts. I only did the quick scan the first time, so right now I’m running the full scan. It’s 22 mins in and I see there are already 3 found infected files. I’m hoping this might fix it, but are there any known problems of accessing online accounts after installing malwarebytes? Your help is greatly appreciated!
April, try the following Malwarebytes download direct link: http://www.myantispyware.com/mbam
Rachael, try reset browser proxy settings by doing the following: run Internet Explorer, Click Tools -> Internet Options. Select Connections Tab and click to Lan Settings button. Uncheck “Use a proxy server” box. Click OK and click OK again.
Ok, guys, here is my solution.
I started by wasting no time.
First delete all shortcuts to it, and the antimalware doctor folder.
Get on internet explorer, then get avast.
Run a quick scan , move all to chest ,then restart, or something, it should then start a new scan.
It will show infected files and say move to chest.
Since it comes up every restart time, this thing should come up saying “cannot start application” that means avast worked and is stopping its crap.
Good luck peeps!

Oh. And I recently got the blank page and my laptop getting su-su-super slow.
Any help, Patrick?
Don’t tell me to start a new topic, as of I am lazy and don’t have an account.
Hi, i think i got rid of this but it tries to come up. I think thanks to avast it won’t start it, but it comes up saying cannot start application. My prob was that it popped up and i tried to close it, but it would say someone is trying to access my private data. I clicked dont allow. Kept on going till i got it off. Then i deleted the shortcut&folder on the start bar. So far it’s been ok but it’s sooo sloooow and i recently got the blank page.
Also i have vista.
Downloaded MBAM but it has numbers next to its setup icon.
Which are safe?
Thanks.

I’m taking Antimalware Doctor off, but its changed some setting, my ‘all program’ list is blank, AND I’m blocked from seeing files on my C drive. Do you know the settings to restore to get past these problems? Stuff is not missing, just not ‘viewable’!
Any help, Patrick?
